Cycling
Marcia is a certified cycling instructor. In Boston, she worked as a group exercise instructor, offering postpartum, cardio, strength training, and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) exercise classes. Marcia has observed a unique benefit to combining the practices of cycling and Internal Family Systems Therapy, which has inspired Self Cycle offerings.
Marcia pulls from a variety of influences, including the work of Sonya Renee Taylor, author of The Body is Not an Apology, and John Ratey, MD whose work heavily focuses on aerobic exercise and the importance of movement and play in brain health.
Individual sessions are available both in-person and remote. Her office in Northampton, MA offers a bike, treadmill, and elliptical for client use. There’s also ample floor space available for other movements, including the use of weights.
